Since the beginning of Mo' Creatures development, there have been a number of features in the mod files or in the mod that have no actual use in Survival or in Creative. Some of these features are leftover from removed features, or simply placeholders for new features.

Note that this page only documents unused features that are currently in the mod or the mod's files. See removed features for features previously in the mod that are no longer available.

Blocks[]

OgreLair Stone

Ogre Lair blocks[]

Like Wyvern Lair blocks, Ogre Lair blocks were going to generate in the planned/upcoming Ogre Lair dimension. These include Ogre Lair stone, logs, wood planks, leaves, dirt, grass, and tall grass. They have been in multiple mod versions for a couple of years, but the Ogre Lair hasn't been added since, but it's possible that DrZhark is still working on it. The only use for these blocks is for decoration, as they do not generate naturally. Like Wyvern Lair logs, Ogre Lair logs can be crafted into Ogre Lair wood planks.

Items[]

Nether cannon[]

Nether Cannon

The nether cannon was an item that may have functioned as a weapon. It could have been a ranged weapon like a bow, and also may have used some type of ammunition. Its texture can be found in the mod files.

Creaturepedia

Creaturepedia[]

The creaturepedia was an item that shared the same texture as a book and quill. It's unknown what the book was used for, but it could have used as a guide for the player, to tell them about the mobs found in Mo' Creatures. According to DrZhark, the item hasn't been implemented yet.[1] But it has been a couple of years since he's mentioned it, and it's most likely been forgotten.

Like the nether cannon, the texture for this item can be found in the mod files.

Armor[]

Silver Skeleton Armor[]

Silver Skeleton Armor

The texture of the Armor can be found in the mod files but it doesn't have any use.

Mobs[]

Donkey[]

Donkey

Donkeys were variants of horses that naturally spawned with horses in herds. They could be equipped with a chest, and could be also bred with a horse or a zebra to create a mule or zonkey (it's still possible to get a mule by breeding a Mo' Creatures horse with a Minecraft donkey).

Mo’ Creatures donkeys looked almost identical to Minecraft donkeys, except for the eyes, and the stripe texture on the back. Mo’ Creatures donkeys no longer spawn due to the Minecraft donkeys replacement, but will likely come back because of the way Update Aquatic changed horses.

DrZhark removed donkeys after horses were added to Minecraft, but for some reason they can still be spawned with the /summon command. To spawn a donkey, type in /summon mocreatures:WildHorse ~0 ~1 ~0 {TypeInt:65,Tamed:1}
