Mobs are living, moving game entities. The term "mob" is short for "mobile".
The Mo' Creatures mod adds a variety of over 50 new mobs to Minecraft. The mod focuses on allowing the player to interact with and tame new creatures. Each mob in Mo' Creatures is either passive, neutral or hostile, and some have advanced AI, which of course depends on the player's presence.
Like Minecraft mobs, Mo' Creatures come to exist by spawning in many ways. Most mobs will spawn naturally, dependent on the light level and biome, often times in groups with mobs of the same (or often different) variety. Some mobs also have the ability to breed, which will spawn baby versions of themselves. Mobs will not naturally spawn on transparent blocks, in water (except for sharks, dolphins, piranhas, small fish, medium fish, fishies, stingrays, jellyfish and manta rays), in lava, or on half blocks (slabs, stairs).
Players can also spawn mobs by using spawn eggs in Creative mode, or the
/summon command after enabling cheats.
Behavior EditMobs are affected by the environment in the same ways as the player and Minecraft mobs: they are subject to physics, and they can be hurt by the same things that harm the player (catching on fire, falling, drowning, attacked by weapons, etc.). Some mobs may be resistant to weapons or hazards, such as ents, which are resistant to all damage except for axes, and werewolves, which can only be killed with a silver sword. Mobs can ride minecarts and other mobs, and can climb up ladders. When mobs are killed, they turn to dust and drop items which may be useful resources, including fur or hide, which is used to craft armor.
Each type of mob in Mo' Creatures has a certain AI (Artificial Intelligence) system with different behaviors and mechanics. Mobs will wander around at random if there is a player nearby and usually avoid walking off blocks high enough to cause falling damage. Many mobs have an advanced pathfinding system that allows them to traverse complex mazes to get to a desired object or destination. Passive mobs will flee in random directions after being hurt, while hostile mobs will face and chase/attack the player as soon as they come close. Neutral mobs, such as snakes, will remain neutral until a player or mob provokes it (usually by attacking), at which point it will turn hostile toward and attack the entity that hit or get too close to it. Most mobs are aware of players within 12 or 16 blocks of them.
Mobs can not see through most solid blocks, including semi-transparent blocks such as ice, glass, or glass panes. Mobs will not attempt to walk on rail tracks, unless pushed on by other mobs.
Some hostile Minecraft mobs can ride a few Mo' Creatures mobs in the same way players can. this includes zombies, zombie pigmen or skeletons riding on horsemobs, wolves and scorpions. When mobs are killed, they drop various items which may be useful to the player for use in many crafting recipes. Some mobs can also only be found in certain biomes, such as mammoths, frost scorpions and polar bears, which can can only be found in "snow" biomes.
Like vanilla Minecraft mobs, every mob in Mo' Creatures has an AI (artificial intelligence) system with different behavior and mechanics. Mobs will ordinarily wander around at random if there is a player nearby and usually will avoid walking off blocks high enough to cause fall damage.
Other mobs have more advanced AI, and as a result, have more complex behavior. This includes scorpions stinging the player if the/she get too close, ogres destroying blocks within close range of the player, or golems using blocks as a projectile. Big golems can form their body from blocks in the surrounding environment, making them a formidable and challenging enemy. Mini golems will simply throw a block at you, however, and are not considered very dangerous.
Most mobs can be tamed in various ways, such as catching aquatic mobs (like fish or crabs) with a fish net or by hatching mob eggs such as wyvern, ostrich, many types of fish, Komodo dragon or shark eggs. Some mobs, such as horses, can be ridden, bred and can even transform into rarer variants, (such as a fairy horse or pegasus) with the use of essences.
Mobs can be transported, and can be placed from one area to another with the use of amulets.
List of mobs Edit

Once a bird is placed on your head, you will not take fall damage. Instead you will "glide" to the ground slowly.|
|Bunnies||Bunnies only jump around aimlessly. Right-clicking on them will place them on your head. Pressing the shift key and right-clicking them once they are on your head will make them jump off of you. Having a bunny on your head while riding a horse will considerably speed it up.|
|Butterflies||Small mobs which come with many unique wing patterns. Moths are variants of butterflies that are attracted to torches.|

A horse can be tamed by reducing its 'temper', which is achieved by giving the horse wheat, sugar lumps, or hay stacks. Apples or golden apples will tame a horse instantly. Once a horse has been tamed, it can be ridden or given armour. Rarer horses can be obtained with complex breeding, and, once a tier 4 horse has been created, can be used to tame a zebra. After a zebra has been obtained, you can then pair it up with a horse to create a zorse, which is needed to create the mythical horses, which includes, unicorns, nightmares, fairy horses and more.|
|Jellyfish||Small aquatic mobs that are poisonous to the touch. They drop slimeballs, and can also glow at night. Tamed with a fish net.|
|Maggots||Small flightless insects. Drops slimeballs.|

Neutral mobs Edit
|Bees||Insects which fly around aimlessly. Will attack you if you provoke it.|
|Black bears||Tamable and rideable mobs that will not attack during the day, unless they are hungry or provoked. They drop hide. Cubs can be tamed with any vanilla Minecraft meat.|
|Boars||Small mobs that make the same sounds as pigs. They will attack the player if harmed or if the player gets too close. Boars will also attack other animals. They drop hide or raw porkchops when killed.|
|Dolphins||Tamable and rideable mobs that will not attack you unless you attack them. They drop raw fish when killed. The rarer the dolphin, the more fish it needs to become tame. Can be bred with cooked fish or salmon, and can also be transported with a fish net.|
|Elephants||Very large mobs that spawn in deserts, jungles, plains and forests. Mammoths are larger variants of elephants that only spawn in cold biomes. They will attack you if you provoke them. Elephants and mammoths drop hide.
An elephant or mammoth calf can be tamed by giving it 10 sugar lumps or 5 cakes (most players give them 10 sugar lumps as cake takes quite a lot to craft). Tamed elephants/mammoths are healed with baked potatoes, bread or haystacks. A harness can be put on tamed adult elephants or mammoths to make them rideable and attach extra things. They can also be given tusks to break blocks.
|Ents||Tallest mobs in Mo' Creatures. There are two types of ents, oak and birch. Ents will launch you high into the air if attacked, and are invulnerable to any form of damage except for axes. Drops logs, saplings and sticks.|
|Foxes||Small creatures that will attack smaller mobs such as mice and insects. Tamed with raw turkey and drops fur. Will attack you if you hurt it. Also spawns with cubs, which will flee from the player.|
|Goats||Mobs that wander around aimlessly, eating any dropped items. They will follow you if you are holding anything edible. Female goats can be milked, and male goats will fight amongst themselves or if provoked. Male goats will also attack if milked. If you die near a goat, the goat will eat your whole inventory - even diamonds and other valuables.|
|Grizzly bears||Larger than black bears and can be tamed and ridden like other bears, if a cub is given any meat, it will be tamed. Drops hide.|
|Hellrats||Hellrats are larger types of rats that spawn in the Nether. Since the Nether has a low light level, they will almost always attack the player on sight, despite being neutral. Hellrats drop redstone when killed.|
|Kitties||Kitties (or cats) can be tamed and become the player's pets. Litter boxes and cat food can be crafted for them. They will attack you if they haven't been fed or if their litter box isn't cleaned.|

Green ogres are the weakest, fire ogres can set the area surrounding him on fire, and cave ogres will only spawn in dark caves, and is the most destructive. Green ogres drop obsidian, fire ogres drop a heart of fire, and cave ogres drop diamonds.|
|Ostriches||Tall mobs that are commonly found in deserts and plains. They will only attack if you attack a male ostrich; the females and chicks just stick their heads in the sand. Drops raw ostrich meat. Can also be given a saddle, chest, wool of 16 colours (for a flag), and a helmet.
A tamed ostrich can be given either an essence of light, dark, undead or fire to turn it into a unihorned ostrich, wyvern ostrich, undead ostrich and nether ostrich, respectively. Wyvern and nether ostriches can fly, but you need to press the space key in a timely fashion whilst flying to do so.
|Raccoons||Small mobs that drop fur when killed. They will attack smaller mobs, and will attack the player if provoked. Can be tamed with any food item.|
There are eight different kinds of snakes, including a couple of shy snakes that will run away from the player and venomous snakes like corals, cobras, and rattlesnakes. There are also aggressive pythons, which are the biggest snakes in the mod.
Different kinds of snakes spawn based on the biome. Rattlesnakes only spawn in deserts, while pythons spawn in swampland and jungles. Snakes mind their own business, if you get too close they will alert and hiss at you, giving you time to run away. If you don't, they will attack and poison you. A player carrying a bird or mouse will attract nearby snakes; they hunt down small creatures. When snakes are killed, they drop eggs which can be hatched and will not attack you once tamed. The hatchlings can also be named and you can them on your shoulders.
|Stingrays||Stingrays will poison you if you get too close, and will actively attack you if you provoke them. They don't drop anything, but can be tamed with a fish net.|
Aggressive mobs Edit
|Big cats||Tamable and rideable mobs. Includes lions, tigers, panthers, leopards, and snow leopards. They are aggressive and will sprint at mobs and the player on sight to attack. Drops big cat claws which can be made into a whip. A cub can be tamed by giving it raw pork or raw fish, and then giving it a medallion. Once it is fully grown, the big cat can be ridden and given a chest. If a tamed lion, white tiger, liger or white lion is given an essence of light, it will be given wings and can fly. Tamed big cats have a chance of becoming a ghost when killed. Hybrids can be produced by breeding certain types of big cats together, (for example, breeding a male lion with a tiger will produce a liger).|
|Big golems||Dangerous mobs that spawn at night on the surface of the Overworld. Has the ability to form itself with blocks in its environment, leaving the surface area littered with holes. They are very hard to kill, and are resistant to the player's weapons. When it has taken enough damage, it will turn red and eventually, explode. Upon its death, it will drop the blocks it formed itself with and an ore cube (either a block of iron, gold, diamond or emerald). However, it will not drop the ore cube if killed too quickly.|
|Crocodiles||Crocodiles spawn in swampland biomes, and if they see a player or a mob, they will chase them on sight. Sometimes, they remain static, but they can be ready to attack. They drop reptile hide, usable to craft reptile armor, similar to iron armor.|
|Horsemobs||Aggressive horses that spawn at night and in dark places. These mobs cannot be tamed or ridden, but zombies, silver skeletons, skeletons and zombie pigmen can ride them. There are four types of these horses, bat, skeleton, undead, and nightmares. Undead horsemobs drop rotten flesh and a heart of undead; bat horsemobs drop leather and a heart of darkness; skeleton horses drop bones and wild nightmares drop leather and a heart of fire.|
|Komodo dragons||Komodo dragons spawn on swampland. They attack small mobs and players. Komodo dragons poison their prey. They drop reptile hide and the bigger Komodo dragons have a 25% chance of dropping eggs. An egg can be hatched if placed near a torch and the resulting baby Komodo dragon will be tamed. Tamed Komodo dragon can be healed by giving it raw rat or raw turkey. A saddle can be put on a Tamed adult Komodo dragon so it can be ridden.|
|Manticores||Very aggressive mobs with the body and head of a lion, the wings of a bat and the tail of a scorpion. Drops chitin and scorpion stings (either dirt, black, frost or Nether chitin/stings). Also has a 25% chance of dropping an egg, which can be placed to hatch a friendly tame manticore. Like big cats, manticores can be ridden and chested, but, unlike big cats, manticores can not breed. Wild manticores can either poison you, give you nausea, set you on fire or cause slowness, depending on the type of manticore.|
|Mini golems||Smaller variants of big golems that can throw blocks at the player. Drops nothing.|
|Piranhas||These tiny fish will attack the player on sight. They drop raw fish and piranha eggs when killed. They are quite easy to spot, since they are red. They can be tamed with a fish net, and, once tamed, will not attack you.|
|Polar bears||Only spawn in cold biomes and will attack the player on sight. They drop hide. Can also be tamed and ridden if the cub is given meat.|
|Rats||Small mobs that are neutral during the day, but will attack you in light levels of 7 or less, or if you attack it. Drops raw rat which can be cooked into cooked rat. Rats are 'pack' mobs, and they will attack the player if a member of their group takes damage from the player. You may mistake rats for mice.|
|Scorpions||There are four types of scorpions: dirt, cave, frost and Nether. Dirt scorpions can poison you, cave scorpions will give you nausea, frost scorpions slow you down, and Nether scorpions can set you on fire. Scorpions will drop either dirt, black, frost or nether chitin and scorpion stings, depending on which type of scorpion was killed. If a scorpion with babies on its back is killed, they will drop off and a player can pick one of them to tame it. Once fully grown, a tamed scorpion can wear a saddle. If given an essence of undead, a tamed scorpion will turn into an undead scorpion. Baby and undead scorpions drop string, and undead scorpions only drop rotten flesh.|
|Sharks||Sharks will attack the player as soon as you enter the water. They have a 10% chance to drop an egg and a 60% drop rate for shark teeth when killed, which is used to craft chain armor. A shark egg can be placed in water to hatch a tamed, friendly shark.|
|Silver skeletons||Hostile creatures covered in an armor similar to chain armor, and also have a shield on their back. They spawn at night or in dark places, and make the same sounds as normal skeletons. Similar to Minecraft skeletons, but instead of using a bow, silver skeletons wield two silver swords which they have a chance to drop upon death, as well as bones. They are very fast and can run at the same speed as your walking pace.|
Hostile mobs that spawn in dark places as a human initially. They may be at around your height and replicate the player's model, but don't be fooled. At night, these humans will take on a more aggressive and dangerous form.
During the day, the werewolf will be in its human form. When they are hit, they yell or say "You're hurting me, stop it!". At night, it transforms into a humanoid wolf. They can be easily harmed with a silver sword, but are practically invulnerable to any other weapon. Using any weapon besides a silver sword against a werewolf will only deal 1 (); the same amount of damage as the player's fists.
There is also a fire werewolf that can set the player on fire. Werewolves have the ability to sprint while walking on four legs. In human form, they drop either sticks or wooden tools, in wolf form, they drop stone and iron tools/weapons and/or golden apples.
|Wild wolves||These will not attack the player unless they are harmed or if it is night, however they will attack chickens and ducks during the day. They drop fur when killed. Note that these do not replace the wolves from vanilla Minecraft. They cannot be tamed, but if you hold a bunny they will follow you to try to kill it.|
|Wraiths||Ghost-like hostile mobs that fly and will attack the player on sight. There is also a red version that can set you on fire. Drops gunpowder when killed. Flame wraiths drop redstone, and can also spawn in the Nether.|
|Wyverns||Poisonous dragon-like mobs that can be found in the Wyvern Lair. Wyvern eggs can be obtained by slaying wyverns. A wyvern has a 10% chance of dropping an egg when killed. Wyverns can be equipped with all three types of horse armor, but not crystal mount armor. There are thirteen different wyvern types: jungle, swamp, savanna, sand, mother, undead, light, dark, arctic, cave, mountain, sea and ghost.
Once tamed, a wyvern can be ridden and flown around, and also be saddled and chested. Using an essence of undead, light or darkness will only have an effect on a mother wyvern, turning it into any of the three tier 2 wyverns. Only tier 1 wyverns (jungle, swamp, savanna, sand, mother, arctic, cave, mountain and sea) can be found in the Wyvern Lair.
Tamed mother wyverns are larger than any other tier 1 wyvern, and are the same size as tier 2 wyverns (undead, light, and dark).
Ghost wyverns can only be obtained by killing tamed wyverns.
